The data configuration for SFDC PC is handled within the Manufacturing Data System (MDS), which is a complete factory automation system. The SFDC System uses barcode scanning, both manual and automated, to monitor and control a single product line or an entire plant. It can be used with the  Statistical Process Control / Statistical Quality Control (SPC/SQC), or order entry systems.

When PTS needs to be set up or upgraded, the administrator should make sure the parameters are configured correctly. Once changes are submitted, they are effective immediately. The administrator should take caution when changing system settings. This module can also be used to configure the deviation notes that are created to change/update BOM material when an alternate part is required, and then customize the error message that displays to the user.
