Label Engine is a web application that gives plants the ability to create, update, print, and share labels without the need for IT resources. It enables plants to easily define and access various different data sources like MES, MESR, along with a variety of other database types. It allows users to map label fields to these data sources in order to create dynamic labels. It also enables plants to extract statistical information about the labels that are managed in Label Engine, as well as monitor the audit information.

The Labor Tracking portlets manage employee work time. Labor Tracking is accessible from three different locations based upon user permissions: '''Labor Tracking Maintenance''', '''Labor Tracking Operations''', and '''MESWeb''' '''Labor Reports'''. Within '''Labor Tracking Maintenance''', supervisors can add departments and indirect labor activities, make adjustments to an employee’s hours, or adjust absent hours. Conversely, employees utilize the '''Labor Tracking Operations''' portal to record direct and indirect labor hours in a traditional clock-in method. For administrators, the 42Q solution provides Labor Tracking reports through MESWeb, which displays labor records for a specified date range. These portals are described within this work instruction.

The control of MSD’s (Moisture-Sensitive Device) prior to SMT (Surface Mount Tech) reflow is a critical assembly issue that has a direct impact on final product reliability and customer satisfaction, as well as manufacturing costs. This function monitors all MSD components’ floor life statuses. This function informs the production operator if the MSD component’s floor life is expired.
+
Integration scanning allows the user to scan a panel within the Fuji Integration UI. With this function, users can scan a panel or batch boards on hand-load workstations. Before scanning, an employee number and scan location must be entered. The system will then validate the information with PTS and SFDC. Once the scan panel is validated, the data will be written into SFDC and PTS.

The Parts Traceability System (PTS) is one of the applications within the MES suite of tools. It was developed to meet the demands of customers to provide component level traceability as well as required quality controls. The production traceability plays a very important role in automating the production lines and raising productivity as well as enforcing rigorous product quality control.

The OEE Configuration module allows users to report work times and machine downtimes. Shop Floor Operators manually add machine downtimes due to stoppages that are not caused by machine malfunctions (such as parts in transit or lunch breaks), work times (labor), and quantity of good/bad parts produced at the completion of their shifts. Engineers use the module to input root causes for the stoppage based on the reason(s) provided by the shop floor operator, and machinery inspection results. There are two data applications available in the OEE system: Report Machine Down, and Report Work. The batch/Lot Process form is an interface that allows for basic data collection, including location selection, basic defect recording, attribute/assembly data if configured. TAKT time display and OEE basic data recording is available using asset integration through CMMS. All the activities are recorded in Unit History against the serial record.

Solder Paste is an application able to help plants to control the storage and use of Solder Paste materials to avoid human errors and lapses. The project has the standard process and creates error-proofing of Solder Paste control, to ensure plants comply with the varying Solder Paste part number’s storage life and use life limits, and ensuring a constant environment, to stop out-of-specs solder paste from being used in production.

Labor Tracking

42Q-MES0045 Labor Tracking

The Labor Tracking portlets manage employee work time. Labor Tracking is accessible from three different locations based upon user permissions: Labor Tracking MaintenanceLabor Tracking Operations, and MESWeb Labor Reports. Within Labor Tracking Maintenance, supervisors can add departments and indirect labor activities, make adjustments to an employee’s hours, or adjust absent hours. Conversely, employees utilize the Labor Tracking Operations portal to record direct and indirect labor hours in a traditional clock-in method. For administrators, the 42Q solution provides Labor Tracking reports through MESWeb, which displays labor records for a specified date range. These portals are described within this work instruction.

Integration Scanning

42Q-MES0147-C Integration Scanning

Integration scanning allows the user to scan a panel within the Fuji Integration UI. With this function, users can scan a panel or batch boards on hand-load workstations. Before scanning, an employee number and scan location must be entered. The system will then validate the information with PTS and SFDC. Once the scan panel is validated, the data will be written into SFDC and PTS.

CMMS

OEE Data Collection

42Q-MES0138-C OEE Data Collection

The OEE Configuration module allows users to report work times and machine downtimes. Shop Floor Operators manually add machine downtimes due to stoppages that are not caused by machine malfunctions (such as parts in transit or lunch breaks), work times (labor), and quantity of good/bad parts produced at the completion of their shifts. Engineers use the module to input root causes for the stoppage based on the reason(s) provided by the shop floor operator, and machinery inspection results. There are two data applications available in the OEE system: Report Machine Down, and Report Work. For a comprehensive overview of OEE features, go to MESWeb Reports

OEE Workbench

42Q-MES0174-A OEE Workbench

The batch/Lot Process form is an interface that allows for basic data collection, including location selection, basic defect recording, attribute/assembly data if configured. TAKT time display and OEE basic data recording is available using asset integration through CMMS. All the activities are recorded in Unit History against the serial record.

Solder Paste Material Control

42Q-MES0153-C Solder Paste Material Control

Solder Paste is an application able to help plants to control the storage and use of Solder Paste materials to avoid human errors and lapses. The project has the standard process and creates error-proofing of Solder Paste control, to ensure plants comply with the varying Solder Paste part number’s storage life and use life limits, and ensuring a constant environment, to stop out-of-specs solder paste from being used in production.
