SFDC Configuration Setup

This edition applies to MDS Portal 1.0 Application and all subsequent releases and modifications until otherwise indicated in new revisions.

The Shop Floor Data Collection System (SFDC) communicates interactively with the Customer Order Processing System (COPS), and Statistical Process Control/Statistical Quality Control (SPC/SQC). The Manufacturing Data System (MDS) makes the communication between these systems possible.

SFDC provides real-time information used by SPC/SQC and MESWeb to create quality control reports. The data configuration for SFDC PC is handled within the Manufacturing Data System (MDS), which is a complete factory automation system. Misc Configuration Maintenance

This module provides access to manage Miscellaneous Configurations, such as SFDC ID, Title Line, Screen Update Interval, Inactivity Days, SOMS Site ID, and Work Shift configuration.

To access the Miscellaneous Configuration, click on Misc Config module in the SFDC Configuration page.

The main Miscellaneous Configuration list is displayed:

List Miscellaneous Configuration

This functionality, based on the actual SFDC Configuration, displays the list with all Miscellaneous Configurations.

To search Miscellaneous Configurations, populate the desired filter fields (SFDC ID, Title Line) and click on Filter.

The user is able to edit, delete, print/export and list workshifts.

Note: The user is able to sort (ascending/descending ordering) the misc list by clicking on the column header.

Add Miscellaneous Configuration

This functionality enables the user to add Miscellaneous Configurations into the database.

1. To add a Miscellaneous Configuration, click the Add Misc Config button in the Tasks Page.

The Miscellaneous Configuration Form is displayed:

2. Populate the mandatory fields:

  • SFDC ID – This is a unique network ID to identify the SFDC PC to the network. Each SFDC ID must be unique in the same database. Usually this is the same name as the Line, without a description. i.e. p99dc1
  • Title Line – A brief description of the Line. i.e. Plant 99 PCBA
  • Screen Update Interval – The time interval used between updates to the SFDC PC display. This value is normally set to 300.
  • Inactivity Days – The number of calendar days a unit may remain at a location before it is listed as inactive on the SFDC PC Serial Number Display.
  • Site Id – SOMS Site ID i.e. E99
  • Download New Multipass – Check box to flag the configuration when using Multipass functionality for SOMS.
  • Update All Site Id.

Click on Reset to clear the fields or Cancel to cancel the Misc Config addition.

3. Click Save to confirm.

Edit Miscellaneous Configuration

This functionality enables the user to modify or update a Miscellaneous Configuration.

1. To edit a Miscellaneous Configuration, select the SFDCID and click the Edit button.

2. Perform the desired modifications and click on Save to confirm updates.

Delete Miscellaneous Configuration

This functionality deletes the selected Miscellaneous Configuration.

List Workshifts

This functionality enables the user to manage the Workshifts.

To list Workshifts, click the Workshift button in the list for the desired Miscellaneous Configuration.

The List Workshift Data Page is displayed:

From this page, the user is able to Add, Edit, or Delete Available Shifts, manage Daily Workshift Assignments, and search of Available Shifts.

Add Workshift Data

This functionality enables the user to add new Workshift Data into the Miscellaneous Configuration.

Note: Shifts must be created prior to Daily Workshift Assignments can be made.

1. To add a new Workshift data, click the Add Workshift Data.

2. Populate the following mandatory fields to define the Workshift:

  • Shift Name: The name of a Workshift with a 2-character maximum text string.
Shift Name Examples: S1 for Shift 1, S2 for Shift 2, A for Shift A, B for Shift B, etc.
  • Start Time: The time when the present yields are stored and zeroed. This usually occurs just before the start time of the next Workshift. The Start Time is 24 hour HH:MM format, with a time range of 00:00 to 23:59.

3. Click Save to save, or click Cancel to ignore.

4. The new Workshift is displayed in the List Workshift Data.

Edit Workshift Data

This functionality enables the user to modify an existing Workshift.

To edit an existing Workshift, click the Edit button for desired Shift Name.
