Shop Order Linkage

Q: What is Shop Order Linkage and how does it work?
A: Shop order linking will automatically associate a serial number that was originally built under one shop order (and becomes a different part number), to be built under a different shop order. When two shop orders are linked and a serial number completes (moves to finished status) under the first shop order, it will be transferred to the linked shop order, replacing the serial number on the first shop order with a skeleton. The serial number's part number will automatically be updated to the part number for the linked shop order. Serial numbers can start processing under the new shop order as soon as it has been released. Custom commands are available to perform the same operation, but this capability automates the process and eliminates additional operator scanning. For further information see the SOP-5-I-MES0026-C_RA1 Shop Order Control Work Instruction.

Offline Plants

Q:  Can plants with offline machinery connect to 42Q?
A:  Yes, plants can connect their machinery in a number of ways, including via an on-site box.  It is not necessary for the machines to have pre-set real-time connection to the 42Q cloud.

A: We offer MEs Web through Report Builder with 10 standard tools.

Q: Are other [non 42Q] reporting tools supported?
